Flower Installations at weddings
Wedding Arches and Backgrounds for wedding ceremonies are a focal delight. They will enhance your ceremony location, whether you say your ” I do’s “on the beach, in a lush garden, or in a ballroom.
“Arches, ground meadows, or simple statement pieces—whatever your ceremony style, real flowers add the organic texture and romance that make your wedding feel truly special.”
This look can come with a premium price tag. Densely covered archways and luxury flowers often cost thousands of dollars. AI-generated images and styled photo shoots online frequently create unrealistic expectations for couples. Unless you have an unlimited floral budget, some elaborate designs may be out of reach. We’ll break down typical price ranges, material considerations, seasonal factors, and customization options that influence cost. You’ll also learn how rental availability, delivery logistics, and design complexity affect final pricing.
Arch Flower selections and costs – Seasonal – Economic or Premium flowers.
Pricing is heavily influenced by flower selection and the density of flowers on your wedding arch or structure. A fully covered archway with more flowers than greenery will need up to 5 times more flowers than a simpler over-the-corner arch arrangement. Premium flowers like garden roses, orchids, some tropical flowers, peonies, and out-of-season flowers will drastically increase the price. Combined with full flower coverage, those premium arches reach several thousand dollars just for the flowers.
To give you an idea, pricing for peonies starts at $6.50 per stem in season from the end of May to June. Out of season, they may be $30 or more per stem, not including any labor or installation costs. For an 8-foot wedding arch, we need to calculate a minimum of 220 flower stems, plus the cost of greenery like Eucalyptus, Ruscus, ferns, etc.
More budget-friendly options will include flowers available year-round, like Roses, Carnations, Chrysanthemums, and other readily available seasonal flowers. Creating a fully covered wedding arch with more greenery than flowers will also lower the overall cost.
Other design options that are more economical are half-floral arches, asymmetrically designed arches, clusters, and garlands that are designed with year-round or seasonal flowers and greenery. Flower costs can range anywhere between $400 and $1200 without the cost of labor.

Ground arches and floor arrangements
Perfect for scenic venues, ground and meadow arches elevate the ceremony space while keeping the natural backdrop fully visible. Frame your ceremony beautifully with low-profile meadow arches, designed to enhance rather than obstruct breathtaking venue views. Ground meadow arrangements offer greater versatility than traditional stationary archways. Typically composed of five or more large floral installations arranged in a graceful half-circle. These designs use floral foam in trays or containers to ensure flowers stay hydrated throughout the day. As long as the foam remains moist, your blooms will retain their freshness—especially important in warm climates like Florida. Because these arrangements are portable, they can be effortlessly moved and reused at your reception. This not only provides cost savings but also supports a sustainable wedding by maximizing floral investment.
How is pricing determined?
Meadow arches are priced based on your choice of flowers, the fullness of each arrangement, and the desired height. For a custom-designed ground arrangement using seasonal blooms and lush greenery, you can expect a starting price of $200 per piece. This base rate covers the artful design and secure floral construction. Please note that professional setup at your venue, delivery fees, and any additional relocation to your reception site are not included in this rate and will be quoted separately based on your specific event details.
Beyond their practicality, meadow arches add stunning visual elements to your reception—perfectly framing a sweetheart table or standing elegantly as standalone features. For minimalist ceremonies, elopements, or micro weddings, couples can opt for just two substantial arrangements placed on either side, creating a beautifully framed focal point.

What you need to know
We do not standardly provide or set up wedding arches. Most venues offer an undecorated structure, but you can also source one through an event rental company, your wedding planner, or purchase your own. However, we can collaborate with carpenters and metalworkers to build custom structures for your event. If you provide your own arch, it must be highly stable, secure, and weighted. This is critical for outdoor ceremonies, as wind can easily blow structures down.
Fully decorated arches with fresh flowers, wet foam, and greenery become very heavy, and unsecured structures will collapse. Please note that you or your rental company must provide any arch drapery. We can install a simple white drapery—as shown in the first photo—for an additional $75 fee.
We always source flowers locally when we can, but bringing your dream floral designs to life often means sourcing globally. To meet your unique preferences, our florist wholesalers carefully import your fresh, perishable flowers from trusted growers in South America and the Netherlands.
Florida summers are beautiful, but they come with extreme heat, high humidity, and a good chance of thunderstorms. Without an indoor backup plan and rain during setup, we will do our best to finish installations. Your real flowers will welcome the rain, but high winds can destroy fragile blooms. We temporarily stop setting up if lightning, thunder, or high winds occur, resuming only when safe. Because flowers become permanent once placed on arches, we cannot guarantee that damage or unfavorable outcomes caused by inclement weather.

Behind the Scenes: What Labor Costs Design Material and Storage Really Include.
When budgeting for your wedding florals, it’s important to understand that labor costs extend far beyond the simple purchase of flowers. Wedding DIYers often underestimate how much time and material go into creating a wedding arch or any other floral installation.
The total investment includes multiple specialized phases: design consultation, cooling and flower care until your event date, dethorning, cutting and preparing your flowers, creating your arrangements, bouquets, and centerpieces, secure delivery, and on-site setup and flower installation—each requiring skilled hands and time. We often have to work around a tight venue schedule or wait until arches or structures are set up and ready for flower installation.
Other costs that are often forgotten:
To create your beautiful bouquets, arrangements, and wedding arch, a lot more is needed than just the flowers. We have to calculate floral tape, floral wire, containers, glassware, floral foam, zip ties, string, ribbons, bobby pins, floral cages, and so much more, depending on your design and wishes.
How Season, Location, and Design Complexity Shape Wedding Flower Costs.
Understanding what, in addition, drives the price of wedding flowers helps couples plan more effectively, no matter the region or venue. Three major factors influence cost: seasonality, geographic location, and design complexity.
Peak wedding seasons in Florida—typically late October through May—often come with higher price tags due to increased demand. Flower prices surge dramatically the week before Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, driven by high demand and significant markups from suppliers. Off-season weddings, especially in the summer months, can save money on locations, rentals, and providers. The biggest drawback for a wedding planned in summer and early autumn is the unpredictable Florida weather. Florida’s hurricane season is from June until the end of November, peaking from August through mid-October.
Design complexity plays a pivotal role.
To manage expenses:
- Consider a modular design that can be reused for the reception
- Use lush greenery instead of premium blooms
- Book during shoulder or off-peak seasons
- Choose year-round flowers like roses and seasonal flowers.
Balancing aesthetics with practical decisions ensures stunning florals without overspending.

Finalizing Your Vision: Smart Budgeting for Wedding Florals
We will closely work with your flower budget and make suggestions to exchange premium flowers with less expensive options if necessary, keeping the look and overall appearance as close as possible to the initial design. If a wedding arch is half or more of your overall flower budget, we advise you to skip it unless you want to sacrifice other floral arrangements at the reception or for attending guests, for example.
Trust your vision, plan smartly, and know that the right wedding flowers and installations will elevate your moment beautifully.
